KEEP IT CLASSY.

Classy basically means keeping all your private parts to yourself.
  • Don't wear tops that are open to reveal your boobs or belly
  • Don't wear skirts that are too short that when you sit your underwear touches the chair

Classy is understated elegant; The kind of a woman that a guy can be with when he runs into his mom anywhere and he would proudly introduce her to his mom
  • classy does not have to be boring though
  • show your style and be yourself
  • be a lady,you will be classy
dressing in classy style is all about knowing the dress to your body type, shape and size.It is more about figuring out what looks good on you rather than trying to wear the latest styles. Not all styles look good on people.

YOU ARE YOU.

Style is important. You can tell alot by the way someone dresses like how they feel about themselves, view themselves and how much confidence the have in themselves.

Your look or style should be your trademark. It should show your personality through the way you dress.

You should have standards for the way you dress just like you have standards for the food you eat.
Wear clothes which make you feel god, have favorite outfits, know what's so special about it and fill your closet with clothes which make you feel good.
Dress for your body,You are the only one who knows what you are comfortable on so be the judge,Also wear colors that compliment your skin.

Think positive thing about your appearance. It can be anything so long is positive

Develop a style like no one else but make sure it represents you. This will be your signature look.Don't dress like a nobody, stand out a little,Don't ever settle for ordinary,You are chic,You are fabulous,You are You.

Prints Over dose

Ankara or kitenge a popular name in East Africa is our heritage and defines Africa to the diaspora. It is ours and we own it.My love for African prints is too strong.I think people should embrace it.
I love the color combination of this beautiful ankara, mustard yellow with royal blue blockes. This one I got from Congo when I was ordering it they said it was named as kitenge cha "tofali" .
I have gained so much weight in the past two years I went from 56 kgs to 83 kgs no pregnancy nor baby 😂😂😂 n my eating is more or less the same. For Africans this is a good thing because I was so thin before marriage and right now when they see me they say wooow you have gained weight Mashallah your husband must be taking very good care of you.😂😂
Well the weight came with great disadvantage coz I have a huge belly now and I can not really wear fitted clothes as I feel fat and really uncomfortable. so I have to put a peplum on almost every dress or skirt or blouse I own.
The skirt is tight with a box slit on the back for easier movement,my blouse is made of a material called plain wax,its simpla and cute it has a kitenge dramatic collar you cant really see it well cause of the headscarf n the buttons inspired by a military jacket trend.
The bag and the shoes well you have seen much of them, they are my favorite and the easiest to wear and carry around while running errands
The headscarf is of lace details, simple and classic.

Summer Yellow

Met the "kalamu" dress
I named this type of dress kalamu which is a swahili word for pencil.Cause of the way it fits as a pencil dress,The peplum detail on the waist gives it edgy..
All I love about this kitenge is the colors and the pattern.Amazing art work.
I love the pattern on this kitenge "mbavu" inspired by human ribs.I got it from kariakoo after seeing a group of ladies looking amazing in it for a Mahari sare.
I am used of wearing flare and huge bottoms skirts and it really is difficult for me to pose in a very fitting skirt, the outfit does not really feel comfortable and makes me look really fat, though everyone else says I slay😂😂
My bag is one of my favorite bags I have ever owned...I love everything about it

Trying to pose and feel beautiful about my dress.

Red Red Wine.....

MWAMVULI DRESS
Hellow darlings, how are you today?I have challenged myself and promised myself that no day will pass by without me posting something on the blog In Shaa Allah. And Alhamdulillah for the past two weeks I have managed to post almost everyday.
I won't leave the blog unattended any longer as I had for the past two years. Thanks for being wonderful and amazing readers who inspire me to do better every now and then.
Thanks all for your emails and comments they have really helped me to my come back.
Ookeey...back to the outfit.I have intended to name all my dresses these days so it becomes easier for my clients to identify them each by it's name. This is the Mwamvuli dress.
The Dress is fitted on the top to accentuate the body while the bottom is cut as a flared A line,I feel very comfortable wearing a not too tight dress these days,I think it's because I have gained too much weight in two years.
As we all know this I am an African print designer which makes kitenge, khanga, batik as my signature looks. This is also a kitenge dress and I just realized that I have so much more kitenge dresses in red and yellow that any other colors. And I am surely guilty of loving yellow and it's one of my favorite colors but red noo....which lead me to thinking may be all the beautiful vitenge come in red and yellow.😂😂 Don't mind me it's just a theory...I know there more beautiful vitenge in all other colors out there.

Well,I paired my dress with black flat shoes and a channel bag.I love the slim metal belt which makes a statement for the whole outfit and did steal the show from the whole look.

Well, for those who asked about where I acquire my vitenge,I have someone in Kigoma who buys them from Bukavu and sends them to me for a very reasonable price. And I am addicted to Hitarget vitenge because the colors don't wash out and they have very bold and vibrant colors, prints or patterns.

The bag, shoes, headscarf and the slim metal belt are all from Kariakoo.

Well hope you all enjoy the post.

Color me in Maroon

I am wearing a kitenge dress,in color maroon mixed with black and off white assymetrical pattern.

The style of this dress is huge box pleats both on the front and the back.

I paired the dress with an offwhite headscarf, a small pearl waist belt and a channel bag.

The dress is fitted on the top and has huge volume bottom, which gives room for comfort as well as modesty which is key to a hijabi.
